Black voices collective live band

THE BLACK G, also known as Black Gold, is a project that focuses on voice and live energy: a collective of Black singers from the Italian and international African-American scene, supported by a high-impact band, designed to take audiences on a journey through the history and evolution of Black music. In several public performances, the project is presented as a true sonic journey that touches on multiple facets of African-American music, reaching all the way to contemporary R&B sounds and modern influences.

At the helm of the artistic and musical direction is Dario, on piano and keyboards. A Venetian musician who began playing the piano at a young age, studying at the Benedetto Marcello Conservatory, he has specialized in African-American music over the years, becoming a sought-after figure in the Black, Soul, and R&B fields. Dario himself is also listed as artistic director of the Gospel Voices Family project, founded in 2018 and built around African-American and African vocalists, an experience that further strengthens the identity of his work, which blends gospel, soul, and contemporary influences.

Live performances are often featured in blues, soul, and jazz festivals, with frequent appearances at festivals such as Pordenone Blues, Dolomiti Blues and Soul, Valsugana Jazz and Soul, and Valdobbiadene Jazz and Blues, as well as other dates on African-American music programs. Some event publications also list a typical lineup of vocals, piano and keyboards, guitar, and drums, confirming a band structure designed to be straightforward, dynamic, and focused on groove.

For MUSIC4, THE BLACK G lends itself perfectly to a modular and “tailor-made” proposal: the same show can be packaged in different settings, maintaining its identity and scenic effect.
