Hi, I'm Miza

SOUL, JAZZ AND R&B SINGER FOR WEDDINGS, EVENTS AND LIVE PERFORMANCES

Some artists learn how to be on stage; for others, after thousands of hours up there, the stage simply becomes home. Miza belongs to the latter.

A professional singer since 2004, she has forged her own path across very different musical worlds without ever losing her strong musical identity. Born in Kinshasa to an Italian father and Congolese mother, she grew up immersed in different cultures and musical languages. This dual heritage comes through as a natural fusion in her music: a black soul, jazz sensibility, soul, funk, R&B and electronic music all come together in an elegant voice that can turn decidedly gritty when the moment calls for it.

Behind that natural ease lies years of dedicated training. Miza studies singing, dance and acting, develops her jazz piano skills and continues to refine her vocal technique over the years, eventually earning her qualification to teach modern and jazz singing. So she’s not just a singer with a wealth of experience: she knows her instrument inside and out.

His résumé tells the story of a career spent on some very big stages. Miza has worked as a vocalist with Lionel Richie, Nina Zilli, Giuliano Palma, Jain, Zucchero, Dolcenera, Tha Supreme and Irama, appearing in productions such as Festivalbar, the Sanremo Music Festival, the Eurovision Song Contest, X Factor, the Wind Music Awards and numerous TV programmes. For years, she has also appeared in productions such as Zelig, Chiambretti Night and Maurizio Crozza’s shows.

Alongside this, he has brought his music to international events and productions for brands such as Ferrari, Maserati, Bentley, Jaguar, Rolex, Chopard and Samsung, performing in Italy and abroad across Europe, the Middle East and North Africa.

But reducing Miza to a résumé would probably be the biggest mistake.

Because Miza is also a singer-songwriter. She has written lyrics and melodies, worked on original projects spanning lounge, funk, new jazz and deep house, and released her own album, Stages of a Growing Flower, in 2019. She continues to perform with her artistic project and collaborates with Rai on music productions. She’s a musician who hasn’t simply explored a wide range of repertoires: she knows them, studies them and has made them her own.

At a wedding or event, all this experience is really about understanding the setting. As a duo or trio, he can create an elegant aperitif with soul, jazz, lounge and R&B; with a larger lineup and a faster pace, that same voice can shift towards funk, pop and electro-pop, taking the event to a much more energetic level.

And that’s what we especially love about her at MUSIC4: Miza can be sophisticated without seeming cold, and powerful without going over the top.

She has sung in front of the cameras, on major stages, alongside international artists and at events around the world. Today, she brings all that experience to a reception, a wedding, a drinks reception or a party.

Without having to show it.

Because when you’ve truly spent twenty years on stage, people can tell before you even say a word.

What more can we tell you about her?

Wedding crashers.
