A singer and pianist, she brings a blend of musical taste, vitality and natural ease to her performances, making her style instantly recognizable. She loves jazz and understands its language and nuances, but she cannot be defined by a single genre. Her musical curiosity takes her across different repertoires, always with a personal, elegant and delightfully vibrant approach.

His artistic journey spans more than ten years of live music, performing in theatres, jazz festivals, events and professional collaborations. Over the years, he has also worked with organizations such as MSC Cruises and Rossetti Entertainment, gaining experience in settings that call for preparation, versatility and the ability to adapt to different audiences. This experience shines through in the way he interprets music, creating atmospheres that bring out the best in the space and the people in it.

Marika’s repertoire starts with American and Italian jazz standards, moves through swing and blues, and opens up to great Italian and international pop and rock classics, as well as movie soundtracks. This variety allows her to shift from romantic melodies and intimate atmospheres to brighter, livelier, more rhythmic moments. She doesn’t simply reproduce songs, but interprets them, staying true to their essence while adding the personality that makes even a familiar song a pleasure to hear.

A fundamental part of her artistic identity is her relationship with live music. Marika sings and plays piano without using prerecorded backing tracks. This allows her to respond naturally to the mood of the moment, adjust the intensity of a performance and make room for interaction between musicians. It's an artistic choice that takes preparation, but brings the full beauty of an authentic performance, where every song takes shape in front of the audience.

THE SWING BAND: WHEN MUSIC BECOMES A SHARED EXPERIENCE

This experience led to the creation of The Swing Band, a project through which Marika expands her musical offering, performing alongside professionals who share her joy of making music together. More than just accompaniment for her voice, it’s an ensemble capable of creating a genuine musical dialogue, with every instrument adding character, movement and depth to the performance.

Joining Marika is Matteo, a guitarist and trumpeter who graduated with top honors and has shared the stage with her for years. The lineup can be expanded with double bass and drums to create a trio or quartet with a more jazz-inspired sound, or enriched with additional instruments to suit specific musical needs. This flexibility means you can choose not only how many musicians to have, but, above all, the atmosphere you want to create.

The Swing Band has a particularly appealing quality: it knows how to be elegant without standing still. Jazz and swing aren’t presented as music that has to be listened to in silence, but as a living language of rhythm, interpretation and interaction. The band can provide a subtle accompaniment to an aperitivo, create a sophisticated atmosphere during dinner, or bring the music to life when guests are ready to get carried away.
