Mia is an extraordinary performer of the African-American tradition, with a remarkable vocal blend and an in-depth understanding of the genre’s stylistic conventions.

Born in Nigeria, she discovered her passion for singing at an early age through the gospel school in New Orleans, where she developed a deep interest in the blues. It led her to express herself at her best on stage, giving voice to the feelings within her soul.

The band accompanying her is made up of some of the finest blues musicians in Italy, including former members of Genoa-based Big Fat Mama and Mama’s Pit, two legendary names in Italian blues.

The show spans genre classics and original tracks, delivering a solid, layered sound that is both powerful and refined.

The repertoire explores the many sides of the blues (B.B.King, Elvis Presley, Etta James, ,Robert Johnson, Johnny Winter, Jimi Hendrix, Joe Cocker, Tina Turner, ZZ Top, etc) .
