SOUL, GOSPEL AND FUNK LIVE BAND FOR WEDDINGS AND EVENTS

Some musical genres can be studied, interpreted and reproduced. And then there’s a musical culture you carry within you, rooted in your own story and emerging naturally every time you step on stage. The Black G comes straight from this world: the great African American musical tradition, where gospel, soul, rhythm & blues and funk are not simply different genres, but deeply connected languages.

The project brings together a collective of African American vocalists, selected for their talent, personality and experience, accompanied by highly skilled professional musicians. Each singer has a rich background in gospel choir and live music, helping create an ensemble where the power of individual voices meets the richness of choral harmonies. This combination is what makes the group so distinctive: performers who can move you on their own, while also creating a full, dynamic and extraordinarily engaging sound together.

The collective's artistic credentials are backed by a career that includes major performances both in Italy and abroad. Highlights include the Blue Note, with a concert broadcast in 36 countries, the Roma Gospel Festival, San Siro Stadium, the Gospelive Festival, the Toscana Gospel Festival, the Lugano Gospel Festival and the Ticino Gospel Festival, as well as numerous performances across Italy and Europe. These very different stages show the artists' ability to connect with audiences and perform in high-profile productions and settings.

A particularly meaningful expression of this identity is Black Gold Gospel Voices Family Tour 2026-2027, a project dedicated to the African American gospel tradition. Its repertoire spans traditional work songs, spirituals, classic gospel and Christmas carols, as well as contemporary fusions with hip-hop and new sounds in Black music. It’s a musical journey that captures the energy and audience participation of a true gospel celebration, showcasing the power of the voices and the ongoing dialogue between artists and audience.

But The Black G is about more than gospel. That’s one of the most exciting things about having them perform at a wedding or private event. Soul, R&B, funk and disco become the building blocks for creating very different atmospheres, while always retaining the same musical authenticity. The band can bring elegance to an aperitif, add refined interpretations to dinner, or gradually build the rhythm and energy until the after-dinner party becomes a full-blown concert.

The option to choose a lineup of anywhere from two to ten performers also lets us tailor the project to the event, the venue and the atmosphere you want to create. A smaller lineup brings the intimacy of the voices and the quality of the performances to the fore; a larger band turns up the groove, stage presence and interaction with your guests.
