Hi, I’m Angelica.
OPERA SINGER | SOPRANO AND MEZZO-SOPRANO
Born in Modena, Angelica discovered music at a very young age, starting out as a backing vocalist before becoming a soloist in her parish choir. After graduating, she continued her vocal studies at the “Orazio Vecchi” Institute of Higher Musical Studies in Modena, while launching a concert career that has seen her perform as a soloist at prestigious venues, including the foyer of Bologna’s Teatro Comunale and the smaller auditoriums of the municipal theatres in Modena, Ferrara and Piacenza.
Since 2018, she has continued her studies at the “Achille Peri” Conservatory in Reggio Emilia, where she earned first a bachelor’s degree and then a master’s degree in classical singing, both with top marks. During this time, she developed an intense artistic career that established her as a versatile and accomplished operatic singer, soprano and mezzo-soprano, with a flexible voice and assured interpretation.
In 2019, she took part in the world premiere of the play “Narciso – Nello sguardo degli altri” at Teatro Ariosto. That same year, she performed the role of Suor Genoveffa in Giacomo Puccini’s opera Suor Angelica. In the years that followed, she took on operatic roles spanning a range of styles and repertoire, including Mamma Rosa in Gaetano Donizetti’s Il Campanello, Madame Balandar in Jacques Offenbach’s operetta Monsieur Choufleuri restera chez lui…, Anaide in Nino Rota’s Il cappello di paglia di Firenze and La Ciesca in Giacomo Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi.
Alongside her operatic work, Angelica is also distinguished as a performer of sacred music. She has appeared as a solo soprano in major productions, including Gabriel Fauré’s Requiem, Op. 48, performed internationally at the London Conducting Workshop under the direction of Maestro John Farrer, and Joseph Gabriel Rheinberger’s Mass, Op. 187, under the direction of Maestro Chiavazza. These experiences have helped shape an elegant, controlled and deeply expressive voice.
Since 2024, Angelica has been a backing singer with the Choir of the Teatro alla Scala Academy in Milan, an ensemble performing as part of the Donizetti Festival in Bergamo’s opera programme. That same year, she performed as a backing singer in high-profile productions broadcast nationally, appearing in the three special Il Volo – Tutti Per Uno concerts and the 2024 TIM Music Awards, both held at the Verona Arena and broadcast on national television.
A versatile singer, in 2022 she performed as a soloist at the institutional ceremony for Italian Republic Day, held at the Prefecture of Reggio Emilia. The event honored two icons of Italian music, Luciano Ligabue and Orietta Berti.
Alongside her artistic career, Angelica is also deeply committed to teaching. She has taught music and choral singing in primary and preschool settings and works with several local music schools, teaching classical and contemporary singing.
Angelica is now a fully accomplished opera singer, a soprano and mezzo-soprano who combines rigorous academic training, significant stage experience and natural interpretive elegance. A reliable, high-calibre artist, suited to productions, concerts, ceremonies and prestigious events.
